24.07.18 – NE Plastics is currently recruiting:

We are currently recruiting for a full-time permanent Sales Administrator. Reporting to the Branch Manager and working within a team the successful applicant would be required to understand the customer’s requirements; to respond to queries, and, to be able to accurately input customer orders or enquiries.  The main responsibilities include but would not be limited to:

  • Answering inbound calls;
  • Responding to stock and fabrication enquiries
  • Accurate and timely sales order and quotation entry onto the Customer Relationship Management System; and
  • Proactively contact existing customers to generate sales.

To be considered for this role you will have at least two years within a Sales Administration role and ideally one of these would be within the sign and display industry.  You will take pride in the relationships you develop with your customer base as well as having excellent oral and written communication skills; attention to detail; able to prioritise own workload and work well within a team.

Working hours are 37.5 and salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience.

New Grant (web size)Grant has been with NE Plastics since 2001 working in a variety of operational roles. As Operations Manager he has the responsibility for the day to day tasks and challenges of running the warehouse, fabrication department and distribution. Grant has a passion for motor sports having started his career as a mechanic.

When not spending his free time with his 3 children, which isn’t very often, he enjoys the peace and quiet of the river bank with a spot of carp fishing. Interestingly he played Ice Hockey at an international level but due to age and parental responsibilities retired in 2011.

Nick Warne, Managing Director

Nick WarneNick started NE Plastics back in 1992, a month after Black Wednesday and during the Queen’s “Annus Horribillis”. As it transpired, it was the very end of a long and painful recession but a great time to start a business.

When Nick isn’t actively involved in buying and selling Plastic, he loves a good pint of bitter, a hot curry and you might even find him in the gym if it’s getting near a ski holiday. He reckons that each visit costs him about £100 which gives you an idea how often he goes!!
